I think the best testament I can give to how good Old World Vulture is would be to point out that the style of music they play — proggy instrumental rock — is one I usually abhor. But coming from OWV it’s both melodic and hypnotic. They’re entertaining to watch despite not really having a frontperson, because they’re great musicians and it’s clear they’re fully absorbed when they’re playing. Toronto needs to wake up to these guys in a big way.
