TWM is looking for interns!

Two Way Monologues, a Toronto-based independent music promotions and booking company, is looking for an intern to help with promotional and editorial responsibilities. TWM hosts a regular concert series at Rancho Relaxo (300 College St.) in Toronto, featuring great indie bands from Toronto, Ontario, Canada and internationally. We participate in the major Toronto music festivals, including CMW and NXNE, and regularly throw shows at other Toronto venues like El Mocambo and the Horseshoe Tavern. TWM is also involved in artist management, promotions and booking and has contacts in those areas across the country.

Along with our promotional activities, TWM has recently relaunched its website, which focuses on the best in Canadian music. We feature album and show reviews, live photography and video, artist interviews and regular features and we’re hoping to increase the frequency of our content updates in order to grow our website audience and promote TMW’s other activities.

Your responsibilities as a TWM intern would include:

  • Assisting in online promotion via Facebook, blogs, message boards, etc.
  • Street marketing activities like postering and handout distribution
  • Writing and distribution of press releases concerning upcoming TWM shows and the bands we work with
  • Content production for
  • Attendance and assistance at TWM events

We’re looking for a commitment of 10 hours weekly, plus two pieces (300-500 words) for the website weekly and attendance at one TWM show per week. This is an ongoing opportunity, so there is no end date for application; however, applications will be reviewed as they come in and filled on a first-come-first-served basis. The internship is unpaid but does involve perks like free show attendance and CDs; on top of that, you’ll make great contacts in the independent music industry, have a lot of fun, and never be asked to fetch coffee.

Please send a resume and cover letter expressing your background and interest to TWM owner Dan Wolovick at
