It’s fall and you know what that means: upcoming fall releases! I’m looking forward to records from Clinic, Corin Tucker, Tim Kasher, Gold Panda, The Octopus Project and more. What about you?

The massive Matador 21 festival is underway this weekend, and with bands like the re-formed “classic line-up” Guided By Voices, you should be checking the live online streams periodically!

According to David Bowie’s website, he’s begun work on a new book called Bowie: Object which collects photographs of objects from the singer’s archives.

Roger Waters and his The Wall 30th Anniversary tour have come under attack with claims of the stage show containing anti-semitic undertones in the form of dollar signs appearing alongside the Star of David. Exlcaim! has the story.

According to Foxman, the inclusion of dollar signs and the Star of David back to back plays into racist Jewish stereotypes. In a statement, Foxman wrote, “While he insists that his intent was to criticize Israel’s West Bank security fence, the use of such imagery in a concert setting seems to leave the message open to interpretation, and the meaning could easily be misunderstood as a comment about Jews and money.”

Radiohead have been confirmed to contribute music for the soundtrack of an upcoming Edward Norton film.

“I’m friends with the guys in Radiohead,” Norton said. “[Greenwood] and Thom [Yorke] had been playing a lot of weird ambient stuff at the time and so, amazingly, they just unloaded tons and tons of files to us of these sound experiments that they had been doing. We just listened to them in awe until John [Curran] eventually got John O’Brien to come in and see what he could make of it.”
