By anyone’s standards, You Say Party! have had a rough year. But they’ve regrouped after the tragic death of their drummer a few months ago, and are now touring and promoting their remix album. They’re also preparing to record new songs in B.C. that will likely be released next year.

The Twilight Singers are releasing a new album on Sub Pop early next year, but you just have to submit your email address to hear a new track right now.

Jason Collett has officially announced his new record: Pony Tricks which will be out on October 12th. You can hear the song Bitter Beauty on his Arts & Crafts website now.

Polaris nominees The Sadies are releasing an iTunes-exclusive live EP tomorrow.

The new EP from Cotton Mouth — featuring members of Parlovr — has just been released, on a pay-what-you-can system. These guys are really solid, check them out.

One-time buzz-band Tapes ‘n Tapes are releasing a new record on January 11th called Outside. This time they’re going the self-produced route, so maybe they’ll sidestep some of the problems many critics had with the production on their last record.

Bad Religion’s Greg Graffin has released a new book, called Anarchy Evolution, about the connection between art and science.
