Toronto’s music history gets Sketched Out

Toronto filmmaker Colm Hogan is at work on a documentary of Toronto’s impressive past in punk rock, hip-hop and techno. Sketched Out is will be a document of and tribute to Toronto’s underground scenes, featuring interviews with Carole Pope, Maestro Fresh Wes, and other luminaries of our non-mainstream musical past (and present). Hogan previously completed Matatu Express, about Kenyan slums, and is now hunting for the funding to finish up this full-length feature, now six years in the making. You can check out a teaser clip above, then comment on the BlogTO article about the project if you might have some ways to help Hogan get his baby done and released.
