A lot of Canadian bands have albums set for an early-2011 release, and Khanna of CBC Radio 3 did up a list of his most anticipated.  Vish has Metz, Ohbijou and Hey Rosetta! on his list; what would make yours?

Black Sabbath are releasing the triple-LP live album Live at Hammersmith Odeon on vinyl on January 11. That’s 1/11/11, you may notice.

There are rumours of Blur reuniting in the studio, with eyes on releasing a new album in the coming year. The source is the UK paper The Sun, so we’re not putting too much stock in the reports, but it’d be nice to see it happen all the same.

Sony is trying to get ahead of the game by launching its own music streaming service; it should be available in Canada next year.

How badass is this iPad synthesizer app?

Swedish folk singers First Aid Kit have recorded a 7″ with Jack White at his Third Man Records recording space. The single will be released on January 18.

Until recently, Columbia House was still around. Not anymore, though.
