If you weren’t happy about the recent news about MuchMusic focusing more on reality programming than actual music, you’ll be happy to hear the channel is relaunching The Wedge and Rap City.
Apparently, the producers at MuchMusic have been paying attention, as they have announced that they will relaunching the video-focused formats of their classic shows The Wedge and Rap City. Not only that, but Much has tapped some top-notch talent for the programs, with Toronto hip-hop ambassador Tyrone “T-RexXx” Edwards hosting Rap City and Fucked Up frontman Damian Abraham taking over The Wedge.
Cancer’s a tricky thing, so that’s why reports this weekend that Beastie Boy Adam Yauch had been declared “cancer-free” were, ultimately, too good to be true. Yauch is doing well, however, as he receives treatment for the illness.
“While I’m grateful for all the positive energy people are sending my way, reports of my being totally cancer free are exaggerated. I’m continuing treatment, staying optimistic and hoping to be cancer free in the near future.”

Fresh off his successful score to The Social Network, Trent Reznor has teamed up with his Social Network collaborator Atticus Ross again for the soundtrack of the upcoming American remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
Now, TwentyFourBit points to a lengthy interview with the New York Times‘ online interview segment TimesTalks, where Reznor confirms that he will be working with Ross on the Dragon Tattoo score. In the interview, Reznor says that he’s been working with Ross on the score for the past two months.
