Lordy Lordy @ Rancho Relaxo

Lordy Lordy really do get better every time I see them. Their 50s-influenced sound really came together well for this set. There are elements of a few styles in here — rockabilly, country, rock — but they all blend together really well. A modern jangliness keeps them fresh. A couple tracks reminded me of Buddy Holly, in a very awesome way, and the final song with harmonica and maracas was definitely a highlight. Some of the nicest guys in the Toronto scene, to boot.
