I have to admit, I was considering going home before this band played because I had to get up early this morning. I stuck it out because Dan had been talking about Alcoholic Faith Machine for about two months.
I was right to trust his judgement, because they were just gorgeous. Probably one to check out if you’re a fan of Arcade Fire. Their songs were emotional without becoming overwrought, and I loved the harmonies. They clearly love playing together, also, and that always wins me over.
Alcoholic Faith Mission have two more CMW showcases — go to one! I may check them out again myself.
