Stream The New Dog Day “Scratches” 7-Inch

Dog Day — long-time suppliers of honest-to-goodness indie-rock via Halifax — recently whittled down to a duo from their former full-band self. Now they have released some of their first material since the transformation in the form of a new 7″ (through NoYes Records). As a big fan of their full band work, I’ve been digging what they’ve been releasing as a duo. The songs may be a little scrappier and fuzzier, but the melodies and hooks are all still there. I got the chance to see them live last year at Sneaky Dee’s, and it was très adorable (and totally rocking too). Head over to bandcamp or click through the jump to stream the 7″, and if you like it make sure you plop down the three dollars it takes to grab yourself a digital copy!

  1. I would join this band in a heartbeat.
Concentration was one of my favourite albums of 2009 – 2010!
