P.S. Eliot (Birmingham, AL/Chattanooga, TN) made a name for themselves quite quickly on the blog/internet buzz scene — their fuzzed out Bike Wreck!!! demo lead them to a surprisingly-cleaned-up-yet-still-catchy debut with Introverted Romance in Our Troubled Minds. Despite the clearer sound and higher production values, the band have maintained melodic consistency over all of their releases.
While many people mourned the loss of P.S. Elliot’s lo-fi sound, these songs are all as fun and energetic as ever. The new record Sadie drives that point home, proving Introverted wasn’t a fluke by any means. This one is for anyone who likes their indie with a pop edge and their angst with a spoon full of sugar. Personal highlights include the one-two punch of “Pink Sheets” / “Untitled”.
